Through a series of case studies, examples, demonstrations and guided hands-on social networking exercises, the workshop will help you design and implement a plan that will leverage Social Networking in your organization. ·                     Back up your plans with research-based proof that Social Networking improves organizational learning and performance

·                     Apply ideas from case studies in selecting, implementing, and monitoring Social Networking

·                     Identify the criteria of a good fit with the culture, technology, participant skills, and outcomes;

·                     Set up a benchmark model that will correlate social networking interactions with measurable performance outcomes;

·                     "Seed" Social Networks with micro-content, user-created content, and other sources, e.g. e-learning, references, knowledge objects, video, audio, etc.

·                     Select which projects, topics and work demands, skill sets, and tasks that warrant Social Networking learning methods;

·                     Match Social Networking tools and software with the right projects, scope and participants;

·                     Select tools that enable you to display visual and graphical Social Networks or Sociograms;

·                     Integrate the data from social networking tools into your LMS or blended programs;

·                     Use the six-step process for integrating Social Networking learning and performance

·                     Identify skills sets for Social Networking champions, leaders, managers, specialists, trainers and developers using Social Networking methods

·                     Present a plan to management and show justification for implementing Social Networking projects.

 

Note: This workshop is about managing and implementing Social Networking initiatives to improve learning and performance. Social Networking and Web 2.0 software, e.g. Wikis, Blogs, Social

Bookmarking, RSS Readers, SecondLife, Twitter, Goal-Driven Social Networking, and collaborative tools will be illustrated and demonstrated. Participants will be required to join exercises to familiarize themselves with the tools. It is recommended that participants review and participate with some Social Networking activities before the workshop. Suggestive list and activities will be provided upon registration to the workshop.
